Cerberus is a mythical beast in Greek
mythology. Its portrayal often shows it as a multi-headed dog watching over the gates of the underworld. According to some legends, Cancerbero owns three heads, while in others it can have up to nine separate heads. The word "cancerbero" is also used to refer to a fierce and unyielding sentinel.
