Lewis dot arrangement in the case of ammonia is shown by the valence electrons surrounding the N atom. The dot dot structure in the case of NH3 reveals that the nitrogen atom unites 1 pair of e- with each of the three H atoms, resulting in a overall of three shared pairs of electrons. The NH3 molecule adopts a three-sided pyramid-like form attributed to the distribution of the valence electrons according to its Lewis dot arrangement.
